We are your place to go for a large selection of hardbacks and paperbacks (fiction and non-fiction), recent magazines, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and jigsaw puzzles. And don’t worry; your dollar goes far at the Book Store.

The Friends rely on generous donations from the community and welcome most categories of books in good condition, especially books published in the current year.

Wonder what we accept? 

• YES: books, recent magazines, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, jigsaw puzzles, college and high school text books, and college exam test preparation books.
• NO: encyclopedias, magazines older than 3 months, VHS tapes, and phonograph records. PLEASE: no moldy, ripped, dirty, or otherwise damaged materials. They are unsellable. 

Please bring donations to the Book Store during donation hours (see above).

The Book Store also holds bi-monthly book sales on the third Thursday and Saturday of the selected month. These sales have a much larger selection of items than there is room to display in the book store--and the books are displayed by genre. 

We are packed to the gills with books on animals, art, biographies, children, cooking, crafts, decorating, fiction, games, gardening, history, Hollywood, humor, romance, seasonal interest, sports, travel, and young adult.  Book sale dates for 2025 are:
        January 17, 19 

         March 19, 21

         May 21, 23

         July 16, 18

         September 17, 19

         November 19, 21

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: Library front parking lot and meeting room.

The prices are right, the selection enormous!  Shop early, shop often at the Bookstore and during Book Sales. 

We are a community of volunteers and can always use help. Is your spare time looking for something to do? Check out these opportunities below. Training is provided.

· Book Store Cashier: Work a 3-hour shift on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Cash box, not cash register. 

· Book Sorter: Work a 2-hour shift sorting, pricing, and putting books into storage. Lifting and physical work are involved. You must be able to lift 25 pounds. 

· Book Sale Cashier: Work a 2-hour shift every other month. Cash box, not cash register. 

· Book Sale Setup/Tear-down Worker: 

1. Setup: Work a 1-hour shift on Book Sale Thursday between the hours of 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. before the sale begins bringing cartons and racks of books out.
2. Tear-down: Work a 1-hour shift on Book Sale Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. rolling the racks back and cartons of books back into storage. 

We are thankful for any and all help, so if your schedule does not permit you to participate on a weekly or monthly basis, we still welcome you to volunteer when you can.
